This article will detail the steps necessary to enable the Student 360 View capabilities for any Profile. The steps to enable this feature are:

  1. Toggle the Feature option to ON under Administration > School Settings
  2. Create a new Role under Administration > Permissions & Access that has the Student 360 View enabled
  3. Apply the new Role to all necessary Profiles under People section

At this time, the Student 360 View is a Profile-level permission; enabling the setting under School Settings is not sufficient to view the feature on all Profiles. This may change at a later date

1. Toggle the feature control in School Settings

First, the new Feature must be enabled schoolwide. Navigate to School Settings underneath the Administration tab. Once on that page, scroll to the bottom of the page to find the section titled Features. The last toggle option labeled "New student 360 view" should be toggled to ON

2. Create a new Role to apply to Profiles

Next, we must create a new Role to apply to each individual Profile that would like to access the Student 360 View.

  • Underneath Administration > Permissions & Access, create a New Role and apply "Administrative" as the Role Type.

  • Add the Role Name as "Student 360 View"
  • The only permission that should be checked is the one labeled "Able to view new student's 360 degree screen"

  • Save Role to create the new Role type

3. Apply the new Role through the People section

Finally, we must apply our newly created Role "Student 360 View" to each Profile.

  • Navigate to the People section
  • Search for the Profiles who you would like this Role to apply to and Select each of them
  • Click on the Continue button
  • Underneath the Edit Roles box, select Add Role and apply the "Student 360 View" Role
  • Click save and you are good to go!

After following these steps, the Profiles selected for this new feature will view the brand new Student 360 View when they click on a Student's Profile!
